Kangra tea is lighter than Darjeeling and far less known. A walk through the gardens in first flush.
Tea came to Kangra in the 1850s. The gardens around Palampur still produce a light green and black tea that most of India has never heard of.
In April, first flush, the pickers start at seven and are done by noon.
